Essie ' Mint Candy Apple'

ow Essie is a Nail Polish brand which I have always LOVED but I have never liked their brush for me it is far too narrow and a pain in the backside, BUT ta da Boots and Superdrug now stock a collection of Essie Nail Polishes and have a wide range which is awesome.

I popped into our local Boots the other day and picked a few up including this gem of a shade which is the beautiful 'Mint Candy Apple' and was SO happy to see they have now made their brushes a lot wider which makes applying the polish so much easier-like a dream in fact. I love this shade a beautiful minty green which is perfect for summer I can already tell I will be using this a lot in the coming months.

On the other plus side they retail for £7.99 which is fantastic, compared to O.P.I which I have a long running affair with yet they retail for £10/11 and in all honesty in my eyes Essie and O.P.I are so alike and now with Essie having their wider brushes and price tag of £7.99 I will be picking up more when next in Boots.

Have you got any Essie polishes? What do you think of their new brush?

NOTD OPI 'Do You Lilac it?'

Now we been getting a few more sunny/warmer days I have been bringing all my Pastal shades and bright shades out as there nothing nicer than on a sunny day have a pretty shade of Nail polish on ya nails.

One of my all time favourite shades is OPI 'Do You Lilac it?' it is just the perfect pastal lilac shade, and I get full coverage with just two coats, during the spring and summer months I always find myself reaching for this shade and so far I have never got bored of it.

My all time fave top coat also is the OPI Rapid Dry Top Coat which is pretty amazing but I have ran out of that so at the moment I have been using Sally Hansen Mega Shine top coat and oh my god it adds just enough gloss to make every shade look extra shiny I love it.

What Nail colours do you love during the summer?

'Spring Nails'- Revlon 'Guava'

In Daylight

In Daylight

With Flash

Recently I have really liked the Revlon Top Speed Nail varnishes, It all came about as good Old Boots has their 3 for 2 offers on and I had heard some good things about the Revlon Top Speed Polishes I have to say they have lived up to their hype and I love them, they are fast becoming my favourite drugstore brand of polishes. When I got some on the 3 for2 I picked up 'Guava' 'Cupid'and 'Poppy'

The shade I'm wearing in these pictures is 'Guava' which is a stunning coral/peachy shade and so pretty for the Spring/Summer months, I used 2 coats which applied like a dream and obviously the name gives it away but they dry very quick, me being me I did manage to have an itch and smudge a nail whilst it was still a little wet though!

I love this shade really do think it is a pretty colour and will look amazing with a tan when on holiday.
You can buy these in Boots and they retail for £6.49 in Boots and at the minute they have their 3 for 2 offers on, YAY!

What Nail polishes are you liking at the min? Have you tried the Revlon Top Speed ones?

NOTD- OPI 'Save Me'

Whilst I was shopping on saturday I stopped by our local Sally's store and picked up two new OPI polishes from the Nicki Minaj collection I got 'Fly' and 'Save me' and this morning was staring at Save me trying to decide if I wanted to wear it on it's own or to layer it over another polish after much dilly - dallying ( that saying always makes me laugh, My mum always used to say it to me as a kid 'Stop Dilly-Dallying') anyways I decided to layer it over OPI 'tickle my francey' which is a subtle nude with pink undertones.
And the picture was taken before I had removed the annoying strand of glitter from my cuticle! So annoying I didn't see it until afterwards

I personally think the glitter and the holographic sparkles in Save Me looks really nice on the nude base and makes it stand out a bit better and I'm glad I decided to layer these two shades together I'm sure I will again in the future.
Do you own any of the shades from the Nicki Minaj collection? What shades do you like to layer together?

O.P.I 'My Private Jet' ~ NOTD

For my notd I decided I would do a polish which is probably one of my all time favourites and one of my fave OPI shades and it is 'My Private jet'.

My Private Jet is a stunning dark dark grey but in certain  looks black, and in some others brown it is beyond stunning. And to top it off it has the most amazing multi coloured specks of glitter which shimmer like crazy, I only needed two coats for this look and I used O.P.I Top Coat Rapid Dry which is fast becoming my holy grail top coat.

I am such a nail polish addict I am changing the shades on my nails at least 3 times a week and love trying new shades out,but somehow I always end up going back to this one on numerous occasions, it is love :)
You can purchase these on line on Beautybay.com or Lena white and also in selected sally stores across the UK and of course department stores.

What is your favourite nail varnish?

Feeling Knackered...............

I had heard so many good things about Butter London polishes but had never tried them before, So when i was in town the other day I popped in to Harvey Nichols where they do such a huge rangr of Butter London Polishes and decided on two to get Black Knight and Knackered.

Knackered is from their new 2012 Spring/Summer collection and is a beautiful Duo chrome silver with stunning hints of green and purple in it, which can be as subtle or as vibrant as you wish depending on how many coats you apply and how the light hits it. I love this shade due to the difference in colour and how it is changing all the time plus has such pretty glitter specks in it as well, and when it catches the light looks pretty amazing

The packaging on Butter London is cute as well, very simple but still cute and they apply and dry like a dream! Next time i'm in town I will be stocking up on more, especially from their latest collection as Disco Biscuit looks incredible!

Do you own any Butter London Polishes?
