Monthly Faves

Wow I started going through my favourties for this month and realised I have a lot, but I guess this could be seen as two months worth as faves as I didn't do a monthly fave post for October...........

Maybelline COLORsensational 'Hollywood Red'- I always tend to play it safe when it comes to lipsticks either nudes or nudey pink shades but with Christmas coming up I decided I wanted to be a little braver and was speaking to a lovely lady in Boots and she recomended this shade and I have to say I love it, it's a beautiful red shade which isn't too in your face which I like and I've been wearing this nearly every day recently.

Daniel Sandler 'Retexturizing Face Primer'- This is all but finished up now and I'm SO sad :( hands down the most amazing primer I have ever used, it feels you are applying silk on your face and really does make such a huge difference when applying my foundation, I will be re purchasing this asap.

Lord And Berry Blush '8213'-  Firstly I hate that their blushes have no poxy name and just numbers annoys the hell out of me, that aside I adore this blush I purchased it a few months ago ready for the winter months and with it being a matte it is the perfect shade for me for winter just a pretty deep terracotta shade.

Bourjois Queen Attiude Khol Kajal'-  Always on the look out for new eyeliners and I saw this new product in Boots the other week and how bloody cute is it? An eyeliner what looks like a lipstick, ( simple things etc) ha! It gives such a smokey finish look and such a dark black shade

YSL Shocking Mascara & Daniel Sandler Jumbo Mascara-  I honestly could not choose between these two Mascaras this month and I will be repurchasing both time and time again without a shadow of a doubt, the YSL is perfect for making my lashes looking longer and the Daniel Sandler mascara one is perfect for nights out when you want the big thick voluminising lashes.

Umberto Giannini ' Indulgent Beauty Moisture Mask'- This mask is amazing, I use it once a week as my hair has been coloured so much in the past that I find during the winter months it can become very dry especially with using hair straightners all the time etc with my hair being so thick, that I find using this mask once a week I can already tell a difference in my hair, feels so silky smooth and looks so much healthier plus it smells amazing.

DKNY 'Be Delicous'-This has been my most worn perfume for the last month during the days at work, I personally wouldnt wear it on a night out as for night outs I prefer a more sophisticated heavy scent but for during the days this is perfect just a beautiful floral scent-amazing.

Jessica ' Guilty Pleasures & OPI 'My Very First Knockwurst'-These are my most worn polishes over the past two months, love them both and just very nice classic shades whicih are perfect for every day wear,

What have you been loving the most recently? Let me know....

'Essie Stylenomics'

This is my fave Autumn shade of polish at the moment in the bottle it looks nearly black but you can tell it is a very dark olive green which has the most stunning glossy finish and looks beautiful on the nails especially for Autumn.

What Shades have you been loving?

My Autumn Make Up Essentials .....

When Autumn comes round I find myself reaching for certain make up products on a daily basis without even thinking about it and now I've grown to love these products especially the Lipstick which I wouldn't normally dare to wear on a day to day basis but I find come Autumn it is the perfect shade... well for me anyway........

Benefit 'Do Tell',NYX 'Gypsy'Elizabeth Arden'Soft Radiance'Lord&Berry Blush '8132'

Daniel Sandler Primer  is hands down the best primer I have ever used it is so silky smooth, smooths my skin out evenly and works as the perfect canvas for applying my make up, I'm quite sad as it is near the end so I've been using it sparingly at the moment, YSL Touche Eclat  is my most reached for product at the moment especially with such early starts I could not cope without it I am shade 01 and will continue to repurchase this time and time again.YSL Shocking Mascara just love this product it is the most incredible mascara if you like big voluminous lashes then this is the one for you,yes its a bit on the steep side especially for a mascara but having used it for a while not I do not regret buying this product one bit. I was never really a bronze kinda girl give me a highlighter or blush any day but then I stumbled across this beauty of a gem and now I adore it and that is the Elizabeth Arden ' Soft Radiance Finish' Bronzer and it just gives the right amount for me and is nice and subtle, applies like a dream and I just love it.Lord And Berry Blush  now I really like Lord&Berry products but it really bugs me that they don't have any names and just numbers instead I find it a little off putting if I'm honest but all my blushes I have are mainly coral shades or light pinks so basically for the spring and summer but then I came across this beautiful matte shade and I love it, I will only wear this in the Autumn/Winter months but I do really like it, a stunning deep terracotta shade I see it as,the eyeshadow I have reached for most is my NYX 'Gypsy' a deep brown which has a little hint of shimmer in it,so not to offensive and my god these shadows feel like velvet and are so pigmented I will be buying more of these for sure, and now when it comes to lip products I always play it safe so pinks/nudes are my safety blanket I don't like going to far out my comfort zone but this  Benefit lipstick in Do Tell is such a beautiful plum toned shade and is without doubt fully pigmented I only need to apply very lightly acorss my lips to get full colour and is a nice deep shade but not too dark so I love it.

What make up products do you find yourself reaching for come Autumn/Winter?

Lush,Essie,Models Own Haul

So on Friday on my lunch I popped into town to pick a few pieces up, Mainly some new candles as come the Autumn months there is nothing nicer than candles lit around the house and first of all I picked up the Yankee Candles in  Honey And Spice which is from their new Autumn collection and is not one I would normally go for but oh my gosh it smells amazing with hints of cinnamon, musk and just an all round warm smell for the colder months and the next one I picked up was the Blissful Autumn which is such a stunning fresh/fruity scent and I seriously can not stop sniffing it.

I then hopped on over to Lush  and for once was very self controlled and just picked for bath bombs up and I think they are my four favourites  Twilight,Butterball,Enchanter and Dragons Egg and I love them all another of my fave is Fizz banger, you can't beat a nice long soak in the bath with a Lush Bath bomb.

Then popped into Boots as picked something up for Nath and decided I had to try the Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Body Wash as their scrub is prob my all time favourite scrub from them it smells amazing and the was is just as amazing. And then I grabbed a Models Own Snowflake as with all the festive parties coming up I think it will look pretty amazing over a dark shade, also picked up one of the Models Own Mirror Balls in Freak Out which is so damn beautiful I can not wait to use it, and last but never least was my standard Essie purchase in Mezmerised which is just a stunning deep blue shade.

Been on any sprees recently? what have you bought ?

Skin Care Faves

As much as I love shopping for make up sometimes you just can not beat a good skin care haul, especially in Autumn/Winter I tend to spend more on skincare products than I do make up as really like to look after my skin and you can't beat that feeling of cleansing, toning and feeling how smooth and refreshed your skin feels.

Here are a few skin care products I am loving at the moment and using a lot

Clarins Lotion Tonique -  I've been using this for the past 3 weeks now and I have to say firstly I'm impressed with the size of the bottle it's bloody huge. I use at night when I'm removing my make make up I find it so gentle on my eyes and as I use a lot of eye make up I have found in the past can be quite a chore to remove it all but with this it removes like a dream and really leaves me skin feeling all refreshed

Elizabeth Arden Skin Balancing Exfoliating Cleanser - I use this on a daily basis either in the bath or shower and on my face, and after using this for about two weeks now I can really tell a difference I have not had a break out at all *touch wood* and my skin just feels so much better for using it.

No7 Melting Gel Cleanser - When I don't use my Elizabeth Arden Cleanser I use this and I have to say I love most of the No7 skin care range smells amazing and my skin seems to love it, works really well and I will be re purchasing this for sure.

No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Water -  Ahh this is my 3rd bottle of this water I just love it it smells bloody amazing I could sniff it all day long :), and when I'm not wearing a full face of make up i use this in the evening s and just sweep it all over my face, and afterwards my skin is so silky smooth .

So those are the skin care products I am using at the moment. What skincare products are you using or swear by? Have you used these before? Let me know

Two New Loves..........

Recently when I was on a mad shopping spree a couple of things I picked up on a whim as such were the Elizabeth Arden Pure Finish Bronzer In Soft Radiance and Daniel Sandler Retexturizing Face Primer. I had asked  on twitter if anybody had used the primer and Daniel tweeted me himself and RT my tweet so I got a LOT of feedback and every single person said the same ... It's amazing, the best I've ever used' So I was very excited to purchase it.......

Elizabeth Arden Pure Finish Bronzer In Soft Radiance

Swatched

Now I will be the first to admit I am not a bronzer kind of gal never have been, give me a good highlighter any old day.... that was until I cam across this stunning package and was swatching like mad in store and before I had time to doubt myself I was walking away a bronzer lover :) I think what I love most about this other than the stunning packaging which feels SO luxurious is the fact as the name suggests Soft Radiance it is a very light bronzer which buffs so well in to my skin and doesn't look orange or anything like that, I use my Real Techinques Bronzing brush and it applies like a dream for some one who was never really bothered about bronzer I now wearing this every day :). It cost  £25  personally I think it is well worth the money and You can purchase it here

Daniel Sandler Retexturizing Face Primer

I love a good primer always have done and for a loong time Benefit Professional was my holy grail I didn't think anything would ever beat it,well it has. This primer by Daniel Sandler is out of this world as soon as i squeezed a little amount on to my fingers and started applying it over my face I kid you not it feels like velvet!!! seriously it left my skin feeling silky smooth and filled in any pores I may of had and just gave me an amazing canvas to apply my foundation to. When I did start applying my foundation I found it took less than half the time it normally did and stays on so much longer than if I was using my Porefessional as well. It is safe to say I won't be buying another primer again other than stocking up on this. Just incredible. It retails for £20.50 and you get 28g in the tube and can be purchased here

So they are two of my new loves at the moment. Have you tried any of these before?
What are you loving?

In My Bag.....................

I was recently looking for a new handbag something big enough to chuck all my stuff in and something that will withstand the test of time especially with the travelling back down to Kent I do, took me ages to decide but finally I got the Fiorelli Lucy Evelyne Medium Hobo Bag and I have to say it is love at first sight I mean just look how lovely it is. I purchased it in our local Fiorelli store for £55 which personally I think is pretty good plus I know I will get loads of use out of it, you can also purchase it online here
So I then decided now was the time to do the ' Whats In My Bag' post......

Loving the buckle detailing on the strap

The Stranger~ I always have to have a book in my bag, as being such a book worm you never know when you have spare half hour or so to have a read, I've had this book for few months now and just started it.

Finsbury Filofax~ Now this is an essential to me, I've had a Filofax ever since I was a teenager, I used to have a pink one but then decided to get a plain black one. I feel so much more organised when I have it on me hence the pen in my bag as well.

Nivea Milk & Honey Lip Balm ~ Always handy and a bag essential especially during the winter, chewing gum a must have .

L'Occatine Date Bouqet Hand Cream~ I love their hand creams and this scent is amazing, works wonders on my hands especially when they get dry in this bitter cold weather.

Butter London 'Toff'~ For some reason I always have a nail polish or 4 in my bag at one point, I try not to have too many ha so now I just carry around one and this is one I'm loving at the moment it is the most perfect shade for Autumn and seriously the quality of Butter London is amazing, on the Nail theme I always make sure i keep my Stylfile in my bag when I'm out and about as my nails have a tendency to snap in the most annoying places.

Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Intensive Moisturizer For Face~  I have recently found that with travelling on a train for 3 hours down to Kent over ten times in a short space of time was playing havoc on my skin and really drying it out, so now I make sure I get an early train wear no make up and whack this on my face and neck and wow I have been so impressed it leaves my skin so hydrated and smooth afterwards.

DKNY Be Delicious Perfume~ This is my 30ml bottle which is literally my day to day go to perfume it's so fresh I love it and nice and light.

YSL Shocking Mascara~  I always always carry a mascara around with me, just applying a coat of mascara can give you that real pick me up and plus works wonders if feeling tired and want to look more awake, and this is without doubt the best mascara I have ever owned,I just don't like the price tag of it.

Dior Ultra Gloss 'Rose Trench'~ I recently purchased this lip gloss and it's just beautiful, the same way with mascara when I step of a train or plane and just want to quickly apply a little make up I just whack some lip gloss and mascara on and I'm all set.

And then Of course a purse :) I use this little one for during the week as it takes up less room during the week. The purse I use mainly is my Suzy Smith Draycott which I just love and you can purchase them here

What handbag do you use and carry around with you? Have you done this post before? Leave me your links.

Would You Like Sprinkles On That?

Nails Inc Pudding Lane, OPI My Very First Knockwurst

Two recent nail polish purchases I got are the Nails Inc Sprinkles 'Pudding Lane'  which is a beautiful teal shade with gold and black glitter particles in it, which you could wear just on it's own which will be amazing over the festive period.

The other shade I got was OPI My Very First Knockwurst which is from their Germany collection and to be honest there was not many shades from their collection which took my fancy apart from this one and also Berlin There Done That come Autumn time I am all for the nudes and dark shades.

My Very First Knockwurst is such a pretty pink-beige creme shade which applies like a dream and only needs two coats, I've been wearing it on it's own for past few days, then I thought I would spice it up and add the Nails Inc polish on my ring finger which I think they go well together.

Did you get anything from OPI's recent collections? What shades do you like?

Haul Time......

So I've been trying to be good recently and have a min spending ban, for nearly a month and then I was browsing on line on Sunday and before I knew it I'd just done quite a big shop , thing I find with online shopping is.... doesn't seem like real money haha.

NYX Eyeshadows in Gypsy and Sahara - I've heard such good things about Nyx shadows so decided to try a couple out and this was a NYX Duo and I've only been using them for a couple of days and so far I really like them, really pigmented and feel like velvet.

Daniel Sandler Retexturizing Primer-  I had asked on twitter what this was like, and so many people replied saying it was amazing, I had been using the Benefit Porefessional for so long and thought nothing would beat this WOW how wrong could I be? This is incredible feels like i'm applying silk to my face and the difference it makes when I'm applying my foundation is amazing.

Daniel Sandler Jumbo Jet Mascara- Needed a new one and have used this before, I love big jumbo brushes as I love the look it gives.

Daniel Sandler Watercolour Blush -  Never ever tried this before, but thought I'd give it a go, the jury is still out at the moment need to use it a bit more before I can give my real views on it.

YSL Touche Eclat-  Everyone and anyone knows this, I had one a couple of years ago and had never got round to re purchasing it so this time I did in shade 01.

Nails INC Polishes in Sweets Way Sprinkes and Paint your Pinkie-  Love both of these shades and can't wait to do NOTD posts on them, especially love the Paint Your Pinkie as it's for charity.

OPI My Very First Knockwurst - I wasn't blown away with this collection from OPI  if i'm honest but I do love a beautiful nude in the Autumn months and this is so pretty.

Thierry Mugler Womanity- This is will be in my top 5 perfumes ever, I love it, love the design of the bottle and how quirky the lid is and the smell is out of this world and last all day I swear to god it's wonderful I am no good at describing  scents at all so this is what they say
Engaging, mysterious and unique, Womanity is full of contrast. It's built around the theme of the fig fruit, a powerful symbol of femininity, with an exceptional fig and caviar accord

I also picked up got a lot of Elizabeth Arden skin care products but I think I will have to do a seperate post on them.
If you want anything done in more reviews just let me know.

Have you been on a shopping spree recently? what did you buy?

Travel Bag - Skin Care Edition

Living In Manchester now for last 5 years and all my family in Kent means I travel down to Kent  a LOT and I have now finally mastered the art of light packing only when it comes to my skincare and make up, everything else I still tend to over pack and I'm guessing I always will, but don't we all? The art of light packing with skin care? Minis of everything are AMAZING!!

This is actually a pencil ase from Paperchase haha I fell in love with it, and has 3 compartments which is amazing.

Sanctuary Spa Body Wash-I love all of the Sanctuary products and I have this in a full sized bottle which I obviously keep at home and straight away I got the travel size to take with me, the smell is incredible.

Sanctuary Brightening Facial Moisture Lotion -  Anyone will tell you that travelling a lot really takes it's toll on your skin and I really do not like wearing make up when I travel, but I always find I need a pick me up once I get of the train so this is amazing gives my skin a nice Brightening glow and I love how it has SPF15 in it.

St Ives Apricot Scrub -  One of my all time fave body scrubs, I swear by this and could smell it all day long, but there is no way I would carry the huge tub around in my suitcase so I love how they do the travel size.

S&G The Daily Smooth Body Butter- I think everyone loves Soap and Glory products and their body butters are no different I can not decide which is my favourite but I love The Daily Smooth and always make sure I have two of these one in my handbag at all times and one in my travel bag at all times.

Organix Coconut Milk Shampoo-  I tried this on the off chance and basically just because I love Coconut and got it in boots for £1.99 for a travel size with the full size being £5.99 and within using this three times I rushed out and got the full size one as well, a- it smells out of this world and leaves my hair smelling incredible and b- since using this my hair has been in amazing condition.

Nivea Lip Balm - An essential especially as my lips get very dry and chapped during the winter and this has such a subtle smell to it which is so nice.

What do you keep in your travel bags?

September Faves

Nivea Pure & Natural Milk And Honey - My lips have been very chapped and dry this past month, so when I was in Boots I grabbed this just on the off chance as needed something and something quick! And it has not disappointed, smells amazing and really helps. Since I've been using it my lips have been less chapped and not dry at all.

Benefit Hello Flawless - I think this has been in every one of my favourites since I have used it and as you can tell I have nearly finished so shows how much I love it it is just amazing, so nice and light and gives good coverage. Personally I will not use it during the winter months as it is very light but come the summer months I will repurchase this time and time again.

Essie Off The Shoulder and Bikini So Teeny- These have been my two go to polishes for last couple of months from Essie's summer collection and I love them especially Bikini So Teeny which is a beautiful blue shade with a very subtle hint of shimmer in it just beautiful. And Off the Shoulder is an amazing dusky pink which looks great on my toes.

No7 Beautiful Skin Cleansing Water- This is incredible smells amazing, leaves my skin feeling so smooth , and is very good at removing my make up and is very soft on my skin doesn't sting my eyes or cause any irritation,it's just amazing and I will be repurchasing this without a doubt.

MAC 'Crew' - This is technically a highlighter but looks too odd on my skin tone,so I found this works best for me as a blush and I honestly have not used anything else as blush for about the last two months I am in love with this shade so much, and gives me just that nice subtle look .

What have been your favourites this month? Leave me ya links

New Blush Love - Lord And Berry

Whilst in my local Sally store the other week stocking up on OPI polishes I has to pop over and have a look at the Lord And Berry stand, now i'll be honest I don't really know much about this make up brand apart from their lipsticks are amazing as I have collected a few and their price range is around the same as MAC.I had a look at their blush collection and just picked one at random to buy which is £13.98 and untill last week it has just been sitting in my make up bag that was untill about 10 days ago.........

Firstly how pretty is that?? I honestly do not think I own a shade like this, and I've been sitting here staring at it trying to decide how I would describe it, well firstly it is a matte no shimmer in it whatsoever so I personally think I will be wearing this in the winter and near Christmas more often than in the Summer, for some reason and how odd my mind is I was staring at it thinking 'Oooh Mulled wine, baggy jumpers, open fire' ha I do love the Autumn months I really do.

It also looks very different in the pan compared to when swatched, I would personally call this a berry/terrocotta shade which just looks so pretty on the cheeks although it is matte it is very very pigmented and I use my Real Techniques Blush brush and just light sweep it over the pan as with this blush too much and you will end up looking like a clown and let''s be honest that is a look noone wants.

The only downside is they don't have names just numbers this is 2813. I think I will purchase more of their blushes in the future.

Do you own any Lord and Berry products? What do you think of them?

My Hero My Father

So today I'm doing a different kind of post as much as I like doing posts on make up and stuff sometimes I see my blog as my personal 'diary' something to look back on in years to come and just an outlet to get stuff off my chest etc, and it's now nearly 5 months since the worse day of my life -
My amazing Dad passed away very suddenly 2 days before he was due home from Hospital, and the past 5 months have been the worst of my life I have never known pain like this and I have cried  more tears in these past few months than I have in my enitre life.
My Dad was my hero IS my hero, the nicest, funniest, kindest man you could ever wish to meet he put everyone before himself and went out of his way to help others. He was life and soul of a party getting everyone on the dance floor, cracking jokes, doing stupid 'Dad ' dances at weddings ha, and making everyone howl with laughter constantly his sense of humour was second to none his whole face lit up when he smiled and even now I can still hear him belly laugh whilst watching The Big Bang Theory which in turn would make me howl with laughter and we'd both be sitting there laughing non stop.
Everyone said he was larger than life which he was and he will always be my hero, all I know is that life was a much better place with my Dad in it.
Mum was saying to me the other day ' I'm so proud with how you are coping,Dad would be so proud of you' which really touched me, but if i'm honest I'm just taking it a day at a time I mean there are songs which I can't listin to at the min as it's just too hard, and I try not to think about Dad not being here too much because when I do the pain is too much I feel like i'm suffocating because the thought of never seeing my Dad ever again shatters my heart all over again, and the thought that one day when I get married I won't have my Dad walking me down the aisle is heart breaking.
One of the things I had spent SO many years worrying about and dreading happened to me on that day in March and it changed my whole world forever my Hero was gone :( and my heart shattered and I didn't know how I could ever carry on without my Dad, but then as my Dad always used to say
' Everything will be just fine, stop worrying and start smiling'
So for my Dad thats what I've been doing, he always promised me everything would be fine and to enjoy life, so thats what i'm trying my best to do plus it helps I have the most incredible family support and friends who have been my rock, especially my amazing boyfriend Nathan who has truely been my rock and I know it's been hard on him as he was very close to my Dad.
So Dad I know I will see you again one day, and I will forever love you and Miss you, you were the greatest Father and Friend and I will spend the rest of my life making you proud of me, as my heart bursts with pride when I say you are my Father :)
I Love You Forever And Always xxxxxx

July Faves

So it's that time again the monthly faves, I still can not we are now in August where the hell is this year going? Is flying by so fast, Not much in my faves this month but here we go.......

Essie Sugar Daddy & Vanity Fairest - To be honest I have not worn much polish during July which for a nail polish addict like myself is a shocker but my nails were really starting to feel the effects of constantly wearing polish so I decided to let them breath for a bit and it has really helped although felt very weird, but when I have been wearing it i've been loving sheer polishes and baby pinks, first it was Fiji and then most recently it has been Sugar Daddy which is a very sheer baby pink and gives a lovely hint of colour to nails and then the other one has been Vanity Fairest which is just a stunning pastal pink with a pretty shimmer in it.

Mac 'Painterly' Paint Pot -I've had this for ages now and got SO much left and I think I used this every time I wore make up in July it is the perfect base for my eye shadows and really holds them in place and also I've been using it as a concealer under my eyes now i'm not sure if it is meant for that but my god it is amazing!

Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen WOW Foundation- Had this for a few months now and it plain to say I love this, it so light and gives good coverage and easy to apply all the things I love in a foundation and has good lasting power.

Compeed Blister Patches- HA a rather random fave this month but being such a short arse I need *cough want *cough* to wear high heels quite often just to give myself some height but my god there is nothing worse than on a night out and the back of ya shoes rubbing the hell out of ya heels well thanks to these magic things that no longer happens, I whack them on my heels before we head out and aaah no rubbing and no blisters woop!

No7 Fanomenal Lashes Mascara-  I've been using this for a few weeks not and I have to say I am very impressed, it the first No7 Macara I have purchased and was a bit dubious at first just because I have never tried their mascaras before and only got this on a whim as had one of their £5 of vouchers but I would happily re purchase this as makes my lashes look so much fuller and longer, a few people have been asking what mascara it is i'm wearing when I use it so i take that as a good thing.

Mac Crew Highlighter-I've had this for a few months now and I know it is sold as a highlighter but it does not suit my skin as highlighter so I use it as a blush, when swirled all together it gives a beautiful subtle flushed look to my cheeks which for the summer months I really like and have been wearing this a lot for the past month

What products are in ya monthly faves? Leave me ya links below

Empties 001

I'd seen so many people on here do the 'Empties' post for a while now so thought I'd jump on the bandwagon and do it :) It seems that recently all i've used up is skin care products........

Philosophy Melon Daiquiri Bath/Shower -  I love all the Philosophy bath and shower combinations, they smell amazing and basically just do what it says on the tin but personally I feel my skin feels softer after using Philosophy, will I re purchase? YES but not this melon one as wasn't over struck on the scent.

Primark 4 in 1 Beauty Wipes- Basically picked these up in heat of moment when was standing in the mega queue and saw 2 packs for £1 which you can't moan about, I didn't use them for make up removal though as I prefer my Korres ones, so I kept these in my handbag and just used for on the go and hand wipes etc when out and about, I probably would re purchase as they handy to chuck in ya bag.

Soap And Glory Sugar Crush - I have a slight obsession with this, so much so that I had to stop using it for 2 months as I was literally getting through 3/4 tubs a month :/ and was giving me a nasty reaction on my skin which was due to the particles as they quite chunky. So only recently have I started using it again but very cautious now.

Dr.Nick Lowe Purifying Foaming Cleanser -  Last month I saw this range in Boots and had heard such good reviews that I thought I would give this a go and it's love, I've been using it long enough to see the effects and it really does leave my skin feeling so fresh and soft and just all round healthier. I will be buying this again for sure.

Benefit Foamingly Clean Facial Wash- I got this as a gift from my Mum as she had been using it and got one for me to try out, first thing I noticed was the smell it reminds me so much of the Ghost perfume which was nice, and it's good but I couldn't see it doing any difference to my skin as other face washes so I'm nto sure if I would pay the price tag for this when I can get the Dr.Nick Lowe one for a little cheaper and can tell a difference in my skin when using it.

Have u finished any products this month or last? Leave me ya links if you have.
Have you tried any of these products?

Top 5 Blushes

So along with Nail polishes another of my obsessions is Blushes I can't seem to go into a store without buying a couple it's kind of like the Magpie to Diamonds effect so I thought I would do a post on my Top 5/ Most used blushes which turned out to be a lot harder than I thought so here they are -

Top SugarBomb,Pink Swoon. Bottom Dainty,Well Dressed Coralista

Dainty,Sugarbomb,pink swoon,coralista,well dressed

1- Benefit Sugarbomb-  I think this could well be my all time fave blush, I use this on a daily basis when I'm going for just an everyday look and minimal makeup it has 4 beautiful shades and when blended together is just stunning and I think would suit any skin tone, and SO happy I hit pan on it as means one step closer to buying a new one.

2- Mac Well Dressed- This was one of my first Mac blushes I picked up I think and it's been in the wars as you can see with all the scratches in it :( but I love this, it is a satin blush so the pigmentation is not the best but if you are looking for just a hint of colour to ya cheeks then this is perfect.

3-Mac Dainty- Is my fave mineralize blush from Mac I think, the pigmentation is incredible so a little goes a long way, I prefer this on nights out as it has a nice amount of shimmer in it which personally I think would be a bit too much for a daytime look but I adore this blush and is just a stunning shade.

4- Benefit Coralista- Another blush I am head over heels in love with, I have repurchased this twice now, as at one stage this was the only blush I wore, it's the most perfect Coral shade which is perfect for the summer months and is definitely a blush I will always have in my collection, to me it's a stable.

5- Mac Pink Swoon - This is a sheer tone blush so the pigmentation is not the best which I actually like for this blush anyway as it's quite a vibrant pink So i like the face that you only need a tiny amount for a lovely flushed look on the cheeks or if you want to wear it on a night out then of course it's easy to build up for more colour.

I apply my blushes using my Real Techniques Blush Brush which is pretty amazing.

What are you're fave blushes? Any you swear by? Let me know.

My Two Fave Skin Care Products ( Origins & Kiehls)

Recently I have been having a clear out of all my old skin care products which I either didn't use anymore or felt weren't right for me, and was on the look out for some new products too try and two brands I have fallen in Love with are Origins and Kiehls and especially these two products.....

Origins Ginger Souffle Whipped Body Cream-  When I was in Boots the other week I stopped by the Origins counter to pick up some more of their Make A Difference hand cream which both my Mum and I swear by and whilst I was there I explained to the lovely lady that my skin was quite dry at the min and she pulled out this tub and said it was like applying silk to my skin and would really help to hydrate it, So I picked up a tub of this and the first thing I have to say is OH MY GOD the smell is bloody amazing I wouldn't say it was ginger scent I'd say more citrus fresh scent and it's incredible, I think this tub will last a long time as you only need a tiny amount and it goes a long one, it applies like a dream, absorbs into the skin so quick and leaves my skin feeling and smelling out of this world.
Will I repurchase?? Oh yes time and time again. You can buy this from the Origins in Boots, or anywhere which stocks Origins for £20 for 200ml which personally for what it is I think is very good.

Kiehls Creme De Corps ' Soy Milk and Honey Body Cream'-  I want to EAT/DRINK this stuff oh dear lord the smell is like being on holiday and drinking a pina colada it just has that amazing holiday smell and If I could I would sit here and just smell it all day and night aaaahhh. I picked this up in House Of Fraser on Saturday as I had heard such good things about it and although it basically the same as origins I feel this will help my dry patches more it looks really thick and creamy but when you touch it , it is so light and fluffy which is amazing as it absorbs so well in to my skin and I can already tell a difference since using this. My skin just feels so much healthier, I will be getting this again, it retails for £36 but again this is going to last for ages so will be well worth the money.

What skin care products are you liking at the min?

May Faves

MAC Blush Pink Swoon. & Dainty

I've had both of these for a while now and wore them non stop for ages when first got them, and then for a few months they've just been sitting there not being used, but with the beautiful hot weather we've had recently I don't like too wear too much make up in hot weather so these blushes are fantastic for just adding a hint of colour to ya cheeks and with Pink Swoon  you can easily build it up if you want more colour, and Dainty is beautiful as got such a lovely hint of shimmer in it. I've been wearing these a lot over the past month or so.

 Nails

This month I have gone a bit mad on buying Essie polishes now that they are available in Boots, and also been loving Neon shades on my nails and when I was in my local Sallys I came across a brand Nina Salon Pro and they are bloody amazing dry quick, only need 2 coats and so shiny once dried love them. My most worn Nail polishes this month have been Essie Cute As A Button,Essie Tart Deco,Nina Salon Pro 'Like Butta' and China Glaze 'Pink Voltage'

 Foundation & Primer

A few weeks ago I was in my local House Of Fraser and walked past the Benefit counter and thought I would get myself matched for their new foundation and I'm Ivory...Believe in me' and as soon as the MUA matched me I knew I had to get a bottle and at £24.50 it is a bit on the steep side but it is amazing the main thing I love is that has spf25 so I don't wear it at night or if I know I'll be having my photo taken, it applies like a dream and is nice and light but gives such a good coverage, and I've been pairing it with my L'OREAL Lumi Magique Base which is described as a pure light primer which leaves ya skin looking radiant and glowy which looks so nice with the foundation over the top, they say you can also just use it as a highlighter on it's own as well but I'm yet to do that as I'm so in love with my MAC Soft and Gentle.

What did you include in May Faves? Leave me ya links if you have done one as I love having a nosey

Weekend In The Sunshine

So this weekend me and Nath decided to jump in the car and drive over to Knutsford for the day and make the most of this beautiful weather, we ended up at Tatton Park and had a lovely day walking through the fields and coming across beautiful Deers which came SO close and had some lunch and spent hours sunbathing and chilling out.

Afterwards we had a slow walk back and had a walk through Knutsford village which is SO beautiful and popped in to Mr Simms to grab some american sweeties :) and stopped at a lovely little cafe to sit outside for a bit before heading back. Then sunday was spent painting my nails I decided on a polish I have never tried before Nina Pro and in the shade tangerine dream and I love it, will be getting more of them for sure , and having a bbq in our garden with friends and enjoying the sunshine :).

Did you all have a good weekend? Enjoying the weather?

Benefit Hello Flawless.........

So I've been on the look out for a new light foundation for the summer months and whilst I was in House Of Fraser the other day I found myself at the Benefit counter being matched up with a Hello Flawless Foundation ( I'm shade 'Believe in me Ivory').

Benefit says - ' Hello…it’s flawless time! Our new oil-free brightening liquid foundation builds from light to medium coverage for a natural complexion you can believe in. It’s you…just more luminous & healthy looking.'

I Say-

I have only being using it for a few days but I really do like it a lot,the main factor for me is it is SPF25 and PA+++  which is the highest sun protection which is so important to me and it literally is everything it says it is. So easy to apply I use either my fingers for quickness or my Real techniques buffing brush and it blends in like a dream and gives my skin a nice radiant dewy look.

Even though it is quite a light foundation the coverage is overall very good and feels nice and light on my skin which I prefer I don't like it when foundations feel all cakey which some can. The only downside of this Foundation is the price tag at £24.50 which I felt a bit bad parting with but I do think it might become one of my most reached for products over the summer

Have you tried it? What foundations are you loving at the moment?

Essie ' Mint Candy Apple'

ow Essie is a Nail Polish brand which I have always LOVED but I have never liked their brush for me it is far too narrow and a pain in the backside, BUT ta da Boots and Superdrug now stock a collection of Essie Nail Polishes and have a wide range which is awesome.

I popped into our local Boots the other day and picked a few up including this gem of a shade which is the beautiful 'Mint Candy Apple' and was SO happy to see they have now made their brushes a lot wider which makes applying the polish so much easier-like a dream in fact. I love this shade a beautiful minty green which is perfect for summer I can already tell I will be using this a lot in the coming months.

On the other plus side they retail for £7.99 which is fantastic, compared to O.P.I which I have a long running affair with yet they retail for £10/11 and in all honesty in my eyes Essie and O.P.I are so alike and now with Essie having their wider brushes and price tag of £7.99 I will be picking up more when next in Boots.

Have you got any Essie polishes? What do you think of their new brush?
